Completing the professional training for truck drivers is mandatory for a paid driver, who transports goods with a category C or C1 vehicle or category CE or C1E road train.

We carry out professional training for paid truck drivers pursuant to decree No. 87 “Establishing requirements for professional skills of drivers, regulations for professional training, training curriculum and form of the training certificate” of the Transport and Communications Ministry, issued on 6 November 2000.

  • When you register to the training, you accept all the terms above and are ready to pass all required training stages.

There are three types of professional training for truck drivers:

  • Professional training in the amount of 135 lessons that is completed during category C driving course.
  • Accelerated professional training in the amount of 70 lessons that you can complete if you have had a category C licence for less than 24 months. The minimum duration of the training is two weeks.
  • Truck driver further training in the amount of 35 lessons that you can complete if you have had a category C licence for more than 24 months. You have to retake the course before the current certificate of proficiency expires. The shortest duration of the training is four days.

The following topics are discussed during the training:

  • The basics of the labour law
  • Traffic and communication psychology
  • Knowledge about the vehicle and its handling
  • The basics of transport infrastructure and transport economics
  • Organisation of road transport (logistics)
  • Insurances
  • Liability of the driver
  • OÜ Autosõit carries out the professional training for truck drivers as an accelerated professional training and as a further training.

We carry out the courses with a flexible schedule, and if there is enough interest, we can carry out the course in a city of your choice or in your company.
